Kenzo showed independence and a strong pointing instinct at an early age, and as the puppy with the best conformation in the litter, "le petit bleu" headed to France to his new mistress Christelle Bataille at 3 months old.  Under her tutelage, Kenzo has become the youngest Weimaraner in France to place in the Open Spring field trial at 10 months of age.

Christelle describes Kenzo's first season:
"Despite his young age, C'Kenzo's first hunting season was exceptional: Numerous points on wild birds and geese. He shows natural tracking, pointing and retrieving talent. Basically, perfect work for a very young dog. What's really astounding is that Kenzo never "discovers" his passion, he always knows exactly what he's doing. Once he is released, it's natural to find birds, and he never second-guesses himself in the field."
